2 hurricanes, 2 totaled cars, home gutted, complexities of flood, homeowner's, & car insurance, running my business tackling life's tasks 24 hrs a day not enough

Life can throw us unexpected curveballs.

I've always struggled with finding a work-life balance. After navigating two hurricanes, two totaled cars, a house in need of a complete gut job, and the complexities of flood, homeowner's, and car insurance, all while running my own business and tackling other life's challenges, I've realized that 24 hours just isn't enough.

Life's a juggling act, isn't it? Between work deadlines, family commitments, and personal passions, it can feel like we're constantly spinning plates.

Here are a few tips to help you find your work-life balance:

  • Set Realistic Goals: Break down larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps.

  • Embrace Flexibility: Balance doesn't look the same every day, and that's okay.

  • Set Boundaries: Define clear boundaries between work and personal time.

  • Celebrate Small Wins: Progress, even in small steps, is still progress. Every day you make it through with a positive mindset or finish a key task is a victory.

  • Be Intentional with Your Time & Prioritize Tasks: Focus on what's important and let go of non-essential tasks.

  • Practice Mindfulness: Take short breaks throughout the day to relax and recharge.

  • Quick Pick-Me-Ups: Every couple of hours, a quick set of push-ups, a short walk, or simply stepping outside to listen to a song can do wonders. Those 10 minutes can boost your productivity.

  • Delegate When Possible: Don't be afraid to ask for help or delegate tasks.

  • Learn to Say No: It's okay to say "no" to additional work or social obligations that don't align with your priorities.

  • Unplug Regularly: Spend time away from screens to rest your mind and body.

Remember, balance isn’t about perfection. It’s about finding a rhythm that supports your well-being. A balanced life leads to a happier, healthier, and more productive you and those close to you.
