Do you ever find inspiration in people you don't know? I do, all the time, and it’s something I cherish. It happens when I witness someone achieving something I never expected, when I watch Olympic athletes pushing their limits, or when I see people fully committed to causes with little to no personal gain. I could go on about the many people who inspire me, but I think you get the idea.
Recently, I’ve been following two incredible individuals on LinkedIn who are deeply committed to finding a cure for Parkinson's and raising awareness about the disease. Their consistent efforts and dedication to getting others involved are truly raising the bar.
This September marks 31 years since my mother passed away from Parkinson's. She was a tremendous inspiration to me and continues to teach me about positivity and resilience, even now. I miss her deeply and think of her often.
One of the people I follow does something called Pushups for Parkinson's (https://pushups4parkinsons.org/). In honor of my mother, I did some pushups and made a donation to support his cause. If you know anyone impacted by Parkinson's or any other disease, the best thing you can do is show your support.
