Last week, someone asked me why I posted a fundraiser for MS on LinkedIn, suggesting that this was a business platform, not Facebook.
Without hesitation, I responded: "Because LinkedIn is about successful people—and the most successful people I know give back."
That conversation made me reflect, not on whether my post belonged, but on why giving back has become such an important part of my life.
Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors (some of whom don’t even realize they were mentoring me), inspiring entrepreneurs, amazing clients, and dedicated vendors. They come from diverse backgrounds, hold different worldviews, and work in different industries. At first glance, they don’t seem to have much in common.
Over countless coffees, a few beers, and many shared meals, I’ve realized they all share one defining trait: generosity. They support causes that matter to them—not for accolades, but because it’s simply the right thing to do. Whether by volunteering, donating, or sponsoring, they show up.
Many of them have told me that giving is a key to their success. That lesson stuck with me. It has inspired me to open my heart, wallet, and time to give back—not because I expect anything in return, but because it’s meaningful.
I’m riding for the 1,000,000+ people in the U.S. living with multiple sclerosis. I’m sponsoring a team, making a personal donation, and putting in the miles to raise awareness and funds for research that will one day lead to a cure.
Please join me in supporting this cause by donating to my ride. Every donation, big or small, helps us get closer to a world without MS. Thank you for your support!
