I may have a lot of weeds but at least they are green.

I may have a lot of weeds but at least they are green

Driving home the other day, I noticed that from 100 feet away, that my yard and my neighbor's looked green. I take pride in my yard and put in a lot of work, while my neighbor does none. As I got out of my car and looked closer, I saw that his yard was full of weeds—true to the saying, "good from far, but far from good."

There's something I admire about my neighbor's laid-back nature. Sometimes I wonder how much easier life would be if I could adopt his relaxed demeanor. No matter how hard I try to chill like him, it eludes me.

I’m not suggesting that laid-back people aren’t successful, I have type B friends who are at the top of their fields.

Being a type A, I’ve come to believe that there’s a hard way and an easy way to go about things. Over the past 60 years, I’ve learned that taking the easy road often means more work down the line. When my son was in college, I’d advise him to choose the tough courses, reminding him that eventually, you’ve got to put in the effort.

I live by a philosophy I call Good, Better, Best. "Good" is where you start—it’s the bare minimum. "Better" is when you refine what you’ve learned to the point where others begin to take notice and even try to emulate you. "Best" is when you’ve reached the top of your game, but it demands continuous improvement. The catch is that "Best" can easily slip back to "Better" or even "Good" if you’re not vigilant.

This philosophy has been a cornerstone of my CTV business. Back in 2017, CTV was a bit chaotic, but our goal was clear: to simplify, localize, enhance targeting, optimize, and be completely transparent—that was our "Good."

We moved to "Better" by expanding our offerings—adding more supply, virtual MVPDs, sports, QR codes, dynamic ads, and more.

As we strive for "best," we continue to improve, taking our clients with us by educating, listening, learning, and creating new opportunities. On February 1st, 2024, we launched clients on Amazon Prime. Perpetually improving we enhanced our reporting, multiplied our efficiencies, and built new partnerships with high-end supply-side & demand-side partners. In 2023 & 2024, we placed our clients in every major league sport and most top-tier events. I am happy to say that CTV | Streaming are game changers & the dominant viewing platform.

We work tirelessly to maintain our "Best" status by strategically planning, placing, optimizing, measuring, and maximizing CTV and streaming opportunities for our clients. This, in turn, allows our clients to focus on doing their best for their growing list of customers.

A lot of effort went into my yard, my neighbor can keep his dandelions and crabgrass.
