Years ago I had a client in a somewhat rural area. During our meeting, he started doing what I thought was a drum roll on the table. I asked him what he was doing. He said, listen closely, so I did. Again I asked what is it. He said can't you hear it… it's the Stampede, they are coming.
What he meant by that is more people were moving into his small rural area. He was spot on. Now it is a semi-metropolis. Cable companies have long ruled home high-speed Internet. With 5G that is now changing, Cable & Phone companies should be listening out for the Stampede. They need to be more prepared for the shift than they were for CTV and Streaming.
Mobile companies are coming fast. They are providing quality high-speed home Internet. It appears that people like it. There may be a cost saving they may just be tired of their cable company.
According to this article from fierce wireless in Q1 2023, T-Mobile adds 523,000 home internet customers. That is more than AT&T Comcast Charter & Verizon
